“Book as Space, Book as Time” (Edition 1)
“A book is a sequence of spaces… a book is also a sequence of moments.”
— Ulises Carrión, The New Art of Making Books (1975)
Taking Carrión’s idea as a starting point, this presentation considers the book as a medium that unfolds across time and space. Here, the book unfolds not linearly but as a multidimensional structure shaped by layers, rhythms, folds, and repetitions. Through sequencing, layout, structure, and materiality, these works create reading experiences that continually expand and evolve. As text and image shift across different configurations, audiences are invited to interpret and recombine what they encounter, opening up new perceptual possibilities.
